Camp Winnataska has a new Summer Camp Director!

Camp Winnataska is pleased to announce Aubrey Huynh will be the new Camp Director in August. Aubrey learned her love of Camp Winnataska from an early age. While her parents served as directors, she developed a deep love for the camp we love best of all. She continued to attend Winnataska as a camper, leader, Comanche, Program Specialist, and Weekly Director. She is a graduate of Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and has taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. Aubrey met her husband at Camp Winnataska. Together, they run a nonprofit organization that provides educational services for individuals with disabilities. They are the proud parents of a baby girl. Aubrey is eager to serve in this role, and looks forward to sharing her experience and passion for camp with the Winnataska family.

A CENTURY OF TRADITION

Singing "Taps" at Hillside.  S'mores around a campfire.  The Friendship Tree.

Lighting the council fire.  Cheering with hutmates.

Watching the bridge burn after Holy Grail.

These Winntaska traditions have served as the cornerstone of a camper's experience for the past century.  In 2018, Camp Winnataska celebrates its one hundred year anniversary of inspiring campers to become like  "knights in the days of old."   At the threshold of its second century, Winnataska beckons a new generation of campers to come take part in unique Camp Winnataska traditions, grow in their faith, cultivate friendships, and experience new high-adventure programming.
